While my life has been very hectic over the last few months, for those of you that follow me on Instagram, it will be no secret that I have recently moved into a new apartment. After months of searching for the apartment and many failed attempts at finding one, we have finally settled in. Needless to say, I pretty much ransacked the entirety of Ikea, Zara home and H&M home – picture crazy woman with trolley frantically pushing people out of the way to ensure I got the items on my list.
Without going completely off topic, it has only been the last few weeks that I’ve been able to get back into the swing of things in terms of blogging. After having a few weeks off, my email box was so full it made me (without sounding too dramatic) want to get under the bed covers and hide. Anyway, when actually going through them, a collaboration opportunity with Thomas Sabo came up which was a lovely surprise.
Their jewellery has always been something I’ve kept an eye on and truth be told, I’m a little obsessed with gold jewellery – it’s my thang’. Forget silver, it’s all about the gold. As soon as I spotted this gold necklace from their Triangle Diamonds range I knew that was the piece I was going to choose – minimal, simplistic whilst drawing attention. Ironically, when sitting down to do the campaign, it matched so beautifully with my vintage, gold mirror (FYI for anybody looking for an antique, gold mirror – mine was from a little garden centre) that instead of shooting outside, I decided that this was going to be my first shoot inside the new apartment.
For anybody looking for a little something for Christmas, a treat for yourself – (hello, why shouldn’t you?!) look no further than Thomas Sabo. Whether it’s a layered necklace or a diamond necklace, make this your destination not stop-ff along the way. As a fashion influencer, while ordering clothing is something I do practically on a daily basis, I sometimes forget how important jewellery is. It’s only recently that I have started to really think, ‘I need some new statement jewellery’ and I don’ know why, as it’s one of the most noticeable accessory staples you have – especially when you are wanting that Scandi’ vibe.
Note to self : never forget the importance of jewellery and the fact it’s a timeless staple.
